Ronald Weinland, you should read Matthew 9:13

"Go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

OXYMORON

I only caught the last hour or so of Ron's sermon today. One thing really stood out. He called Flurry a false prophet. Therefore the title of this post.

A false prophet calling another false prophet a false prophet. Ironic isn't it?

Well, at least we can't call him a liar...all of these self-proclaimed witnesses, apostles, messengers, prophets, etc. are so eager to point out the delusional conditions of their competitors, while adamantly promoting their own brand of delusion. Oxymorons, indeed...

I can't call him a liar on the Flurry false prophet thing, but Ronald Weinland is definitely a liar. He even lies to himself.

...just to clarify...this is my way of saying "oh yes we can." When I say...I'm really not saying what I'm saying...unless I really mean to say what I'm not saying...

Anyway, since my departure from the COGs, I've often wondered how delusional HWA really was, or if he simply always knew that he was lying all along. As for all of his imitators, they are truly without excuse -- promoting his legacy of false prophecies, broken homes and ruined lives. Some of them even have the audacity to refer to the Armstrong era as "the golden age of Philadelphia" -- and even suggest that it was so wonderful that we would all love to have it back.

Sickening, really.

Yes Ken, I think of that often as well. I don't know exactly what he was up to. But I do believe he took religion to hollywood and gave it a ride for it's money. He went from advertising to radio to television. If he was a con artist he took it to the max. If he was delusional he took his delusion to a very sucessful high.
I often think he decided to use religion as a business and advertise the hell out of it to see how much money he could get. His son saw and experienced the resulting wealth, and started his own company when he and dad had a squabble.

I do not know the absolute truth about HWA's motives, but I lean towards hollywood con artist of a high calibre.
