Ronald Weinland, you should read Matthew 9:13

"Go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

Ron's Plan for you -- Wayne Matthews

I could not listen to Wayne's grovelling to Ron today. I skipped through very quickly listening to sound bytes here and there. It did not seem to me that he was yelling at Ron's followers in a condescending Ron-tone. But he was promoting and teaching the lies that Ron speaks.

At 1:22:50 into the "sermon" Wayne started spewing the nonsense of Jesus continually coming in his flesh. This is a technique used by cults all over the world. Take a sentence in the bible and manipulate the words to mean something entirely different, but don't read the paragraph before that sentence or after it. Unfortunately for Ronald Weinland, this sentence is mentioned twice by John, and is designed to identify those who would try to change the word of God and lead you astray with your checkbook
.
THE WORD OF GOD IS FREE. No tithing required! Jesus paid the ultimate tithe for all mankind. Yes you can buy a bible, but there are many organisations that will give you a bible absolutely free and no questions asked. The Gideons put bibles in hotels all over the world. When I was a kid they went into the schools and gave a small pocket new testament to every kid in the class. Even to the kids they knew would throw them in the garbage.

Now regarding the "35th truth" why not take it the way it is written in the new testament without any sorcery or babbling nonsense:

1 John 4:1-4
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are of God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit which confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of antichrist, of which you heard that it was coming, and now it is in the world already.

So there it is in black and white. And here it is again in 2 John 1:7

For many deceivers have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh; such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Back when that was written, the Jews thought that the Christ (or Messiah) was coming but they did not believe that Jesus was the Christ. The Christ came in the flesh, was crucified to death and then resurrected to eternal life. There were many during the time of the Apostles who were saying the Christ had not yet been born in the flesh.

I say Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, and the new testament says that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Ronald Weinland will not acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh and instead, he twists that scripture to mean something entirely different.

He will retort that the translation is mistaken. The original manuscripts from which the present bible come from were in Greek. Ask a greek orthodox priest what is written in his bible. It will match what is written in your bible. There is no secret conspiracy to cover up the words in the gospel. Unless you count the conspiracy of Ronald Weinland and all those like him.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. -- Jesus Christ

So taking into account the above quote of Jesus' words, is Jesus a liar?

Or is Ronald Weinland and company deceived and deceiving?

The end result of Ron's PKG and all armstrongite churches is disappointment, depression, and atheism.

Both HWA and GTA said they believed Jesus would come in their lifetime. They are both dead.

Ron says Jesus is coming on a specific date. Has he weighed the consequences of what will happen to the faith of hundreds of people when Jesus proves him wrong.

I know that Jesus will not come on a sabbath or during the northern hemisphere winter. I'm convinced he would not come on Ron's day. The prophecy is quite clear on what must happen first. And every word that is written must happen. Not just one sentence or three sentences.....or whatever else the next false prophet starts babbling about.

This is the biggest thing that troubles me greatly... that Ronald Weinland teaches that Jesus, our Christ had a beginning. That He did not exist until He was born of Mary. And it troubles me that people can read the truth in the scriptures and choose to overlook it:
Isa 43:10 You are my witnesses, declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.

It clearly says no gods were, or will be created, before or after Him! Yet the followers of Ronald Weinland believe him when he says that Jesus was created!

Mat 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible.

BTW, IS. 43:10 clearly proves HWA wrong in regards to teaching that the children of God become gods.

One cannot assume that being sons and daughters, being the bride of Christ, thus makes one a god.

Wow, I didn't know about that scripture in Isa 43:10 Seeker of Truth.

Wow - that's pretty clear cut.

Guess once again it comes down to PRIDE. We all thought we would be 'gods' one day .... special.

That is so true. I have been fighting against disappointment, depression and atheism amoungst MANY other emotions/thoughts.

Right now, like I have said on Mike's blog, I am just existing - not fighting anymore as I am too tired.

Actually, I am having fun!! (Albeit too much fun :-0 ).

I am not thinking of tomorrow for the first time in my life... for now, that's just fine by me!!

Thank you for your blog :-)

Hi Seeker,

Ronald Weinland is confused. Jesus' human body did have a beginning at his birth, but He has existed long before he was came in the flesh. Because "before Abraham was, I am".

When Jesus said that, the pharisees freaked. They became angry and accused Jesus of having a demon. Can you think of another modern day pharisee who becomes angry or upset when Jesus' words are repeated?: before Abraham was, I am.

Jesus existed before he was born. It is written in the bible. It is not a mistranslation. Ron and those like him focus on words instead of "the word".

Good for you. You have been set free from Ronald Weinland. I'm pretty sure you will never fall into another "trap". Experience is the best teacher.

Jesus taught us not to worry tomorrow: mat 6:34 Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Live for today and enjoy life. The bible has been published and there is no work for people like Ron. Anyone who thinks they have a need to tithe should give their money to those who truly need it. Not to a "man of God".

If Ron were a real preacher, he and the missus would be living in their church building and the doors would be open 24 7. Then again, I've never seen or heard of a real preacher.

This really is the crux of the problem with Weinland. He denies the deity of Jesus.

COGers who spout how "illogical" it is to believe God is a trinity- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, certainly believe in a resurrected Jesus, or that God existed before all worlds. There are so many "mysteries" about God, that COGers take for granted, but they can't let the mystery of the trinity stand. For to do so would lend credence to the Roman Catholic church, and most protestant denominations. It threatens their identity as the "one true church".
I find it is a lot easier to believe what I read in the new testament than to try to extrapolate and put my faith in a "lesser" Jesus which is what Weinland preaches.

On top of being a false prophet, more importantly Weinland is a heretic.

I believe Ronald Weinland doesn't even believe in God. He is a con artist trained under that master hollywood con artist Herbert Armstrong.

It is a profitable business if one can swallow ones conscience.

My statement that Ronald Weinland does not believe in God will be proved in June 2012 when he continues to preach his "gospel other than that delivered by the saints".
