Ronald Weinland, you should read Matthew 9:13

"Go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

Prison Cellmate Etiquette Lessons, or FLEE the Country!

Dr Mike, Professor of Weinlandology, told us years ago that Ronald Weinland was being investigated by the IRS. On thursday our intrepid professor broke the story on his blog about Ronald Weinland being indicted by a federal grand jury for income tax evasion.

Al Capone was imprisoned for income tax evasion too. Income tax evasion is criminal in nature according to any government. That makes Ron officially a criminal deserving the same treatment as Al Capone. Prison!

Although the U.S. Government may consider Ronald Weinland a criminal due to revenue issues, I consider Ron a criminal due to the lies he tells and the extortion he commits against his congregation.

During today's sermon Ron did not mention his indictment, but instead continued his con game of twisting the verses in the bible to be all about staying in his church and giving him money.

He twists every scripture he reads aloud. The Bible says we do not know the hour and the day but Ron and the PKG know the hour and the day. They know it will be in Jerusalem on May 27th. Isnt that rebelling against what Jesus said? When you say you know more than Jesus you are arrogant and pitiable and a liar.

Read the New Testament and come to your own conclusions. Don't let any other man or woman tell you what it really means. Let me quote what Ron said today:

As I said at the end of the feast, "don't let anyone or anything distort you"

You PKG members have let Ronald Weinland distort the meaning of the scriptures. He is a false prophet and now under criminal indictment. He has been ripping off the government and he has been ripping you off. Selling a counterfeit christianity, he has become fatted and rich.

Sorry Ron, they don't provide Charmin in jail or prison. You will have to start practicing with sandpaper, or flee like the thief that you are.

I don't interpret the scriptures, I write them down exactly as they are written.

"1Ti 6:3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, 1Ti 6:4 he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing."

Gal 1:9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

You PKGers quit being so lazy. Pick up your Bible and start reading on the first page of Matthew NOT the first page of Genesis. Otherwise, you deserve what people like Ron Weinland are going to do to you. The end of the Bible is Paradise. The end with Ron is misery.

Jack,
You dont have a lot of time left. You should be praying instead of attacking COG-PKG. It is you who continue you to tell lies and lead people astray.

Ron is not in prison and if you had actually listened to what he said you would understand the truth. But the truth is not in you so you cannot understand.

Anonymous, I did not say Ron was in prison. I said he had been indicted.

It is people like you PKG members who lash out on these blogs that make me want to replace the word lazy with the word stupid, in my often used "You PKGers stop being so lazy..."

But I am not here to hold animosity towards you. I am here to tell you that if you want to be a Christian, read the New Testament and stop following any "man of god".

And as Randy has mentioned, what has happened that Ron has prophesied? His entire book is a lie. NOTHING has happened.

I guess if the bible were not so confusing (hence the thousands of differing belief systems in Christianity alone), people would not fall victim to such wroughts.

Yes, the Bible says no man knows the hour - then on the other hand it says God does NOTHING without first revealing it to his prophets.

PKG members DO read their bible as I keep saying. Just like the Pope, Creflo Dollar and other ministers including their followers.

Where PKG members conveniently fail to SEE, is Rons complete and utter failure as a prophet (the one God was meant to reveal things to BEFORE doing them, as scripture said He would).

Therefore - False Prophet.

No PKG member has been able to tell us what prophecies Ron has made that have come to pass - that is, because none have.

Good luck in your delusion Anon, destroy your own life. I just hope you are not dragging your loved ones down with you.

Ah yes, the old Amos 3:7 trick. That's almost as bad as the old robbing God of his tithes trick.

Preachers who use allegorical interpretation can make any part of the Bible say whatever they want to make it say. A sentence here and a sentence there add up to "do what I say and do it now or get out". Just try and get them to read the paragraph above and below that sentence they are trying to drill into your head.

If one wants to be a Christian, one has to decide if you can follow the New Testament. If one wants to follow the Old Testament then one has to follow every letter of the law and that includes killing dwarfs, and all kinds of other unbelievable stuff.

You can't mix the old testament with the new testament. It says that in the New Testament. Something about new patch on old cloth and new wine in old wineskins. The wineskins burst and the patch tears the cloth when washed. You can't mix the O.T. with the N.T.

Everyone who has had a bad experience with "religion" has been listening to the wrong person. All preachers are in it for the money.

A preacher that can be trusted is a preacher that also has a paying job and does not ask for money to do great things far from your sight.

The New Testament says try and be a good person. The Old Testament preachers lay burdens and chains on you and make it impossible to be happy.

I hear what you are saying Jack, but then most of the NT is repeating the old. God is meant to be the same today and forever, yet apparently changed everything in the NT.

*sigh*

FYI, once again, I never read the bible, for MYSELf (and actually, MOSTLY the NT), more than when I was in Armstrongism. Was also the first time in my life when the book made any sense. I was brought up as an SDA, and Bible Study was compulsory.

I've heard many different interpretations of the same verses, and yes, read the verses above and below pivotal ones.

Jack, I think the world of you as you know, but you keep saying that PKG members are lazy in not 'picking up their Bibles' - they DO.

How do I know it is not YOU that twists the word?

One hundred people can read one single paragraph and come up with one hundred different interpretations! Who is right?

You think you are right, a PKG member thinks they are right, a Catholic thinks they are etc etc.

Again, the only thing you can honestly accuse a PKG member of (IMO), is believing a proven false prophet.

The rest is conjecture really.

We all come to our beliefs via many different experiences and understandings.

Again, there are literally thousands (and they are the known ones!) of types of Christian religions out there. Who is right?

People argue sometimes that ALL are right as they have a personal relationship with Christ *vomit* and all form the body of Christ. Whatever.

Jack, I guess what I am trying to say, is that saying members are lazy or stupid is unfair. Willingly ignorant would be more appropriate IMO.

I know I've said all this to you before, a few times - but I don't think you have accepted it. Your decision.

I continue to think the world of you of course. You have always shown me great kindness. I just wish you would think about these things. We were not blind idiots to believe Ron - but I believe that people who believed Ron after first failed timeline I guess could be called as much, but it is also very complicated.

I'm just glad I left, and thanks to people like you had a soft place to fall. I will always be grateful.

Apparently Ronnie chose to disregard Jesus' admonition to "render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's."

I am sure the legal defense fund will come from tithes as well.

What I have discovered, by the grace of God, over the past 10 years or so is that there actually is more unity in the larger orthodox Christian community, with regards to essential Christian doctrines, than there is disunity. Where you have the most disunity, in my opinion, is in groups that are in the fringe. They all want to be right and compete on the basis of "right and wrong".
The church is not a human organization or building. Oh how Armstrong taught that, but he practiced something much different.

I think there will always be differences of opinion. Weinland is just another example of a profiteer of the Bible, no different than many mainstream preachers.

Kirrily, your experiences in religion can certainly create doubt that God isn't working in any place. That there's confusion. I have been in that same place. But, I stopped thinking about churches as either "all right" or "all wrong". With that mindset, we leave it up to the preacher/minister/leader to tell us what we should be doing. So many people are so afraid of picking up the Bible and reading it and believing it, convinced that they can't understand it without someone teaching them.

In the end, there's only one thing that marks a Christian- and that is the blood of Jesus. Period. End of story. It's by nothing that we do, but what He has done. There's no other way that salvation can be a free gift of God. Whether you are Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, SDA or COG-PKG, there's only one real identifying marker of a Christian, and it isn't the Sabbath.

"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved." Romans 9-10.

Note: I don't think Weinland is just another "difference of opinion." I juxtaposed those two sentences inadvertently.
I believe Weinland is a false prophet and a heretic. There are, however, those within his church, those who are authentic Christians.

I hear you Mark.

I guess what scripture always got me as a young girl is where it says even the elect (if possible) would be deceived.

Also Gods true church being small.

Ever since I can remember, I had wanted to search out that small group - to NOT be one of the deceived.

I have read the word for myself, I have to be honest, it just doesn't make sense to me as a whole.

I remember questionning everything as a young girl of 8, whose mother was horrified but allowed me to let the JW's inside the front door to question them.

My bible school teachers at high school getting annoyed at me for asking so many questions.

Searching, searching, searching my whole life. Each time hoping/believing that THIS time, finally, I had found Gods Church - his true church - the body that was NOT deceived. *sigh*

I feel I have wasted nearly my entire life so far, searching for a truth that doesn't exist - at least not to anyone's knowledge on earth.

It seems to me the Word can be spun in any way one sees fit. Most versions I have studied make sense, hence why every version has many believers.

I therefore came to the conclusion that the 'truth' can not be found, and therefore I chose to stop looking.

Seek and ye shall find - um, maybe that has come to pass for me. Seek I did, and I found the truth - it's just not what I expected the 'truth' to be.

Thanks again for your words Mark - I miss your posts at Mike's blog!

Hope you are well. I'm 7 months through the pregnancy now, summer us just hitting here in OZ. Thank goodness for A/C!!

Well Kirrily I don't want to write anything that is going to upset you, but you must realize whatever I do write is not directed at YOU. I'll remove the "lazy" from the template.

Kirrily XPKG said...

I know Jack.

But I really think that most in PKG read their Bibles, and haves based their decisions ON the Bible - not just because of what Ron says.

BUT, they are now clearly ignoring, purposely, what the Bible says - I have often said the Bible is confusing, but it's pretty black and white when it comes to determining who a false prophet is!

I guess I just wanted to try and get across the point that PKG members (before April 17, 2008) did have biblical reasoning for believing Ron. So it wasn't just the 'lazy' comment being taken personally, it's just that that is not how it was.

Thanks again Jack.

Can't wait to find out what happens with the indictment!!!

So, Ron can't understand that using church money as personal gain is prohibited in the Bible.

Mal 3:8 "Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me."

This is specifically talking to the priest (same as the minister-RONALD WEINLAND). NOT the tithe payer. It is about how the minister uses the tithe money. To add more to Ron's penalty, there's also the civil/criminal problems that MAN has put in place to stop such a practice.

Do you realize how much money Ronald Weinland apparently used for he and Laura's personal benefit if the TAX liability is $357,065?

His delusions about being a prophet of God only underscores the megalomania which causes him to think he is above the law.

Unless his followers wise up and stop financially supporting this charlatan, they have nobody else to blame but themselves for allowing Ron Weinland to use and abuse tithes to pay for his legal defense and lavish personal lifestyle. Such a far cry from Jesus Christ.

Well, his time is almost up. When the world doesn't end on May 27th he should just pack up his bags and go home and his followers leave this diseased congregation.

This of course is unlikely to happen, Ronald will explain he misinterpreted the date and 90% of his followers will continue to follow him.

jack635 said...

He may just use his old "coming in my flesh" interpretation of 1John4 to spriritualize away the second coming of Jesus on May 27th 2012.

If he is still making huge sums of cash he might stick around. But I am of the opinion that he might just flee the country to evade his federal criminal trial for tax evasion. Time will tell. Three days to go for the Great Disappointment.

Good on you Jack. I posted the May 22nd comment earlier. Minutes ago I happened on Bob Thiel's site and saw that Weinland did (as expected) not miss a heartbeat after May 27th and continues to merrily use more gobbledegook to explain his failed prophecies away. It's sad that so many people will continue to trust and support - - and finance - - this charlatan. These people would get a better return by responding to emails from the recently deceased estates of unknown personages in Nigeria. Sheesh.
