Ronald Weinland, you should read Matthew 9:13

"Go and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

Out With The New, In With The Old

Ron's five months of torment is going to end up being five months of testing the faith of his diehard members. And maybe even the torment of his critics, who have to listen to his babbling.

His latest sermon was an Old Testament marathon of boredom. I find it funny that he is preaching Jesus is to return in May, yet he ignores the gospel which has everything to do with Jesus doing away with the OT, and nothing to do with PKG.

Ron does not want to preach the teachings of Jesus Christ. He just wants to use his Name while dragging everyone back into the Old Testament so he can use the verses which instuct you to obey the High Priest (Ron), and give him your money. T2 shall be used to travel and worship Ron, because you won't be able to use your money for this years feast.......or will you?

The New Testament clearly instucts you to have nothing to do with Ronald Weinland AND the Old Testament. I have to wonder what Jesus meant when he said "All who came before me are thieves and robbers".

"Love thy neighbour as thyself" cancels out the ancient laws and regulations of the Jews. And you can't just pick and choose which statutes and ordinances your church is going to follow. Those who live by the law shall be judged by the whole law, not just the ones you like.

I don't interpret the Word. I just write it down exactly as it is written.

"1Ti 6:3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, 1Ti 6:4 he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing."

Gal 1:9 As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.

You PKGers are following a proven false prophet. Pick up your Bible and start reading on the first page of Matthew NOT the first page of Genesis. Otherwise, you deserve what people like Ron Weinland are going to do to you. The end of the Bible is Paradise. The end with Ron is misery then atheism.

What about Matthew 5:17 then?

The Greek word that would be translated to abolish/destroy would mean loosen, dissolve. While the word "fulfill" might mean "to end" in modern English, in the Greek, it is closer to teach. In the Septuagint, the same word is used to mean consecrate, dedicate - not a sense of finality.

Sounds like to me He is saying "I have not come to abolish OT covenants, but to fulfill the coming of the Messiah and consecrate the Law."

Much of the prophecy of the OT would be the arrival of the Messiah, which He has fulfilled by His arrival, but I believe Christ made the distinction that the Law was not done away with.

Exodus 31 states that God created the Sabbath as a lasting covenant, and a sign between God and man 'forever'. Jesus in the New Testament also agrees that the Sabbath still applies in His day and that He is the Lord over it. (Mark 2:27-28)

If God said that the Sabbath was forever, but then revoked it once Jesus was born, would that not make Him a liar?

Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Psalms 119:126 It is time for thee , LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

1John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

MATTHEW 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

LUKE 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of lawlessness.

MATTHEW 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work lawlessness.

A huge sigh when I read these things. I was going to quote Mat 5:17 and stress "till all is accomplished/fulfilled" because when Jesus died on the cross he said "it is finished".

Look, the ten commandments are the best thing in the old testament and Jesus himself quoted them when he said the law can be summed up with one : love thy neighbor.

How about 1 Cor 9:20 "though not being myself under the law".

Here is some more:

"For Christ is the end of the law, so that everyone who has faith may be justified" Rom 10:4

"All things are lawful for me, but not all things are good for me"

Read just one of the gospels and you will be released from the insanity of Armstrongism and all the other so called "preachers" that need your money. The gospel of Jesus was written down almost two thousand years ago. The "work" is done. It is finished. No money is required to do the work. Jesus and his saint have already done it. "once for all delivered to the saints" etc. etc...
