Ronald Weinland was found guilty on five counts of federal tax evasion today, June 13th 2012. Ronald Weinland is now a convicted felon. He was put under home detention and fitted with his very own electronic monitoring device.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on September 24th of this year. I hope Ronald Weinland gets what he deserves. From what I have read in the past, it is most likely that he will be required to pay his taxes and a penalty. He is also liable to more than one year in a federal prison.
How ironic after all the damage Ronald has caused, he is convicted of tax evasion just like Al Capone, who was slippery enough to escape the grasp of law enforcement.
Everything that is available to know about Ronald Weinland and his church, trial, and sentencing, is available at the Ronald Weinland Information site.
Personally, I hope Ronald Weinland gets five years. If he skips bail, he will get much more. He has ruined a lot of lives. He deserves more prison time than he is going to get. I hope Judge Danny Reeves makes an example of Ronald Weinland as a warning to future would-be tax evaders.

Wonder how Ron likes that new piece of jewelry he's wearing on his leg? Too bad they couldn't fit Laura with a matching ankle bracelet.
How ironic. Convicted felon insane lying false prophet can begin his prison sentence with a fast on the Day of Atonement.
And good luck to him avoiding unclean meats and not working in the prison laundry on the Sabbath, let alone getting the Feast of Tabernacles off at the Prison Feast Site.
Thank you so much, Jack. We appreciate your efforts.
Jocko,
That's one piece of jewelry Laura does not covet. Ron is not allowed to go anywhere he is not allowed to go. lol
Ron has a specific amount of time to travel directly from point a to point b. If he deviates he better have a good excuse, or he will be in jail faster than you can say false prophet.
Douglas, I think Ron could get away from unclean meats by bringing a letter from his Rabbi certifying he is Jewish and requires Kosher meals. I know it is an option in Canadian jails and prisons. Kosher and Halaal are pork free. Kosher is all fresh food, never frozen. I think if I ever had to go to jail, I would pretend to be Jewish. They get much better food.
There you go Ron. Convert to Judaism.
Jack, since I have had dealings with the Pierce County Jail Chaplain, there have been experiences with people claiming they were "Jewish" because they wanted better fresh food. One of these ended in a lawsuit by the prisoner who claimed to be Jewish, but not in practice, but in the faith of his mind.
Ultimately, he lost.
I really believe that Ronald Weinland claiming to be Jewish just to avoid unclean meats and getting fresher food in prison just wouldn't be Kosher.

Ron Weinland simply doesn’t get it. Along with Camping, Van Impe, Hal Lindsey, and the left behind bunch he was looking for that which has already happened.
MT. 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
His gross and blasphemic doctrine of works salvation should be discussed.Armstrongism
is destroyed by Paul in
Col. 2: 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 ¶ Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Yours in fulfillment

LOL Douglas.
Even though Ron pretends to be a Kosher Christian, I bet he eats lobster when no one is watching.
Then there is his 24 Sept court date for sentencing. I don't think he is going to show up for that one. Right now they are probably liquidating assets and making plans for their exodus. My thoughts on this were enhanced by finding out he didn't put his own house up for security of his bond, but rather got his widow neighbour to put up her house.
Now if he truly did spend all that money, he is going to prison. But if the cash PKG donations were never declared, he's got a huge stash somewhere.
Time will tell.
Frank,
I liked your comment so I put it up, but I do not allow doctrinal preaching or recruiting, so I have removed the link to your site and the salutation before your name. I find those types of self glorifying titles abhorrent.
The only reason your comment stays if because you quoted Jesus about unclean meats.
Jack, it is really hard to say: I suspect that RW won't run and the reason I think that is that he seems to have this innate arrogant sense of entitlement -- he doesn't think he can ultimately lose and that it will all work out -- that he has conned himself.
I don't think that he could sell his mansion: Think about it -- realtors and strangers coming through looking at the property, all while he's wearing that electronic bracelet under house arrest. Doing something like that would set off so many alarms to the IRS that it's doubtful the house would even make it to the listing.
The question I asked Mike and is so relevant is whether RW has to pay off the IRS (not mentioning his lawyers) with his $200,000 per year salary? It would seem to me that he can't use the PKG money outside his salary. This also becomes so problematic if he goes to prison. Can he still claim a $200,000 per year salary? Even deluded PKG members really ought to recognize that as fraud (but maybe not, since they are PKG members).
There just doesn't seem to be any viable way for him to come out financially after this point.
The only real option is to pull a White Collar Neil Caffrey and take it on the lam with (what we assume he has) the cash stashed away and available for some country with no extradition. It wouldn't be hard if it were well planned: Just have the escape vehicle waiting with the luggage loaded to get in when the bracelet is cut -- or maybe cut it going down the highway and throw it out the window (a subtle touch would be to throw it out the window into the Police Station parking lot as they go past -- not that I want to give him any ideas).
I still think though, this is fantasy, because there's Laura and the children to consider.
Oh, wait.
Maybe the Justice Department will come for them too.
Jeremy already lives in Europe. Laura will follow Ron wherever. And Audra is currently not under investigation as far as I know from Mikes blog.
If Ron and Laura book it, Audra could visit mommy and daddy when she wants, or she could also move.
I have concluded that the 4.5 million dollars discussed in court is only the tithes by cheque and credit cards. I'm sure a lot of tithes were collected in cash. Cash is untraceable if it was not put into the books. So if half the tithes were in cash, that leaaves a lot of money in overseas vaults.
Ron can also leave the united states and claim asylum due to religious persecution in a country with no extradition treaty. If he goes that route he does not need a new identity.
If he has been preparing a place of refuge since 2008 he has had a lot of time to move things around and get new identity documents. Even if he only started preparing this year, he could have accomplished a lot. I picture him cutting his bracelet off in his house and driving directly to a private jet and whoosh....he's gone out of American airspace in half an hour.
Of course I would rather it be he spent all the money and he is going to jail. I have had dealings with fugitives and con artists in my previous career. Some of them are very, very intelligent. I hope in Ron's case, he has spent it all and he is going to prison. Albeit a minimum security prison, but a prison none the less. We will have to wait and see.
Here's a thought, He could be one on Newt Gingrich's settlers on the Mars colony! that would be a great place for him.
Thanks Jack.
And still, even after all this time, Weinland still serves up horse urine as beer and PKG members still drink it.
I have (2) family members in the church and they could not be less effected by all this. They think he is being persecuted (as he himself predicted)he would be. Pretty sad to say the least. I hope they throw the book at him so they can enjoy some jailhouse sermons.
I too hope they throw the book at him. Ron is a con artist and will use any excuse possible including "persecution ". There is an ongoing discussion about Ron's illegal activities including some pretty shocking revelations from the jurors of his trial over at the ronaldweinland.info site

My sister is a member and she's fine with the conviction. She tells me that just I think she is being gullible, but that she knows what she's doing.
Five years is not nearly long enough.
