The ministry would be so embarrassed by anon. They are not displaying the spirit of PKG (the one they profess). Funny how quite a few have this disgusting attitude though. No wonder they post as anon, this type of person would be disfellowshipped.
Ron always said there is no use preaching to those who cannot see the truth, for God has not called them yet. We should feel sorry for them, he would say. If any person tells me something different than Jesus' soundwords that show us how to do what God wants us to do, then that person is very proud of himself and thinks he knows everything about God, but in reality he knows little or nothing about Jesus or God.

My attempt to have a reasonable conversation with a PKG member/elder was a failure. When asked a question about one single sentence in the book they profess to know so much about, they change the subject, they refuse to answer a simple question. Because they cannot. They do not know how to twist the words around like their idol/god Ron does. They are perplexed and it is impossible for them to answer. Nor is it possible for them to share knowledge because everyone else is trash.

The longer I live and the more I observe religious cults I am convinced that most don't understand Jesus as Lord and Savior. They put him in their own little box and make him what THEY want him to be. This is the real test of authentic Christianity. "Who do you say that He is?" The answer to that question will tell you everything you need to know.

In my experience of 38 years trying to find God and his truth, I have found EVERY church to have their own opinion - EVERY church putting God and Jesus into their own box. I dare say (no disrespect), your religion is no different.

I find/found that Christians in general to be the most nasty, sad, and depressed people I know. The people who have hurt me the most in life have been Christians.

The Bible is not clear in any way, shape or form. If it was, there would be one united belief system in Christ. The reality is though, there are thousands - each believing their interpretation is correct - so again, who is right?

I think that the COGs (and various cults of the same ilk) have set up the false dichotomy of "true" versus "false" churches. While there are a lot of flavors of Christianity, and yes, many of them have come after disagreements among leaders, what I find is that that there is more unity among Christians than any COG preacher would want to admit. I don't hear Baptist preachers saying that a Lutheran is not a Christian, or an Episcopalian saying that a Pentecostal is not a Christian. The way a group expresses worship is different than what they believe. Sure, Theology matters. But whether someone is a Calvanist or Arminian, it isn't central to a relationship with God and his Son Jesus.
No, the "great debate" is not so much within Christianity as it is for those not within.

This is the great stumbling block for so many. Atheists, agnostics, Jews, Buddhists, Muslims, every flavor of Christianity...you name the "religion"... EVERY knee shall bow and confess Jesus is Lord.
Jesus is the way, the TRUTH, and the life.
Yup! The people in the churches are good and just trying to do the right thing. It's the mouthpiece at the front of the room that sometimes lead them to abuse others.
"I am the way....." He's not lying.
It is God's will that none shall perish. Now and later.
I agree Mark. I had never felt the 'us and them' before going into Armstrongism.
